Recreation Advisory Board meets in January, May and September to discuss recreation ideas, plan activities for the summer and building projects for the city's parks.

Tree Board meets five to six times a year as needed. They oversee the Tree City U.S.A. planting program that promotes the planting, growth and promotion of trees in cities. The Tree Board takes bids throughout the year for locations of where trees will be planted.

Library Board meets on the first Monday of every month. The board receives its authority by statute and oversees the finances and operations of the library. Members hold a commission for two years and must be approved by the Mayor.

Building Advisory Board meets on an as need basis to consider issues of the building codes and local building practices, to hear and decide appeals and to make recommendations for code amendments to the Governing Body. Members are appointed by the Mayor and hold a commission for two or three years.

Sunnyslope Housing Board meets every second Tuesday of each month. They are charged with overseeing the Sunnyslope Manor, and are responsible for the finances and decisions concerning the facility.

Planning Commission meets every second Monday of the month to discuss zoning issues, building permits and the city ordinances. Members hold a commission for three years and are appointed by the Mayor.
