The Third City Ward of Beloit contains all of the area north of Main Street, west of Hersey, and south of 8th Street. The residents in this section of town are represented by the following City Councilors:
Bill Foreman
Chad Thompson, O.D. has served the City since April 2001. He was born in Morris, Illinois, but has lived in Beloit for twenty-five years, graduating from Beloit Jr/Sr High School in 1991. After graduating, Chad worked on his Bachelor of Science degree at Kansas State University, receiving it in 1995. He then attended the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tenessee. While there, Chad worked as an intern at Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland in 1998. He graduated as a Doctor of Optometry in 1999. Dr. Thompson serves as the president of the Beloit Lions Club and also is a USAF Reserve officer. Chad enjoys pheasant and deer hunting.
Chad's family includes his wife, Sheila Thompson and son Phillip Benjamin.
His favorite part about being a City Councilor: "Working with fellow council members to find responsible solutions to city and regional issues."
